Description

Hobson Snake Eye drive insert security driver bit are also known as twin hole, pig nose, spanner or eye drive is a specialist security drive bit for use with all Snake Eye products within Bolt and Nut Australia's security screw range. The unique shape of this head prevents tampering, making this a popular head type choice. Insert bits have an extremely short shank, cost the least out of all screwdriver bits, and are designed to clip into a magentic bit holder. The snap ring notch on the body of the insert bit helps hold firmly in bit holders.
***Extreme care is required when installing*** We recommend using a screwdriver and taking extreme care when installing and removing snake eye screws as the two prongs that fit into the eyes of the screw can break.
What is the difference between an insert bit and a power bit? Insert bits are commonly used with a magnetic bit holder in a drill driver power tool. This combination is economical, provides flexibility and allows a fastener to be magnetically held by the bit but the range is limited to lengths of upto 50mm. Power bits are placed directly into the 1/4" quick-change hex shank or drill chuck, no other parts are required and are available in lengths upto 300mm long
