Description

A Universal drilling point screw for fastening metal roofing to light metal or timber battens. They can also be used to replace existing 12g top grip screws but be careful if you are replacing screws into timber that you are going into is a soft timber as a harder timber may split or cause alignment issues.

Material / Coating: Bremick Revolution B8 Galvanised coating has 8x the hardness of Class 4 coating and is suitable for use in very severe marine environments (ISO 9223 Category 5). Please refer to our technical pages for more information or contact us for advice on choosing the right fastener
Length of Thread: Always choose a self driller with enough threads to fully engage in the base metal. For attachments to 1/4" base steel, a self-drilling screw should have at least 1/4" of threads. It is helpful, but not critical, that the threads also engage in the material being fastened. The head of the fastener provides the bearing force for the material being fastened, while the threads provide the clamping force in the base material
