Plow Nut

Plow bolts are used to secure cutting edges to earth moving blades, they have a non-protruding head and a square neck which prevents the bolt turning when tensioning. The bolts received their names from their use attaching the cutting edge of a plow to the plow blade. Plow bolts are stronger than standard bolts making them the ideal choice for heavy machinery. Plow bolts are like carriage bolts but have a flat head that sits flush once installed. The flat head deters wearing and allows the bolt to last longer on the scouring surface (area where the head of the bolt would be exposed to high wear). Our stock is from Hobson Engineering and is made from high tensile plain black steel in 5/8", 3/4", 7/8", 1", 1-1/4", 1-3/8" UNC (unified national coarse) threads.
